Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
The wildest short around is my cherry, cherry Coupe
It’s the sharpest thing in town and the envy of my group
It’s one of its kind and it really looks good
Chopped nose and deck with louvers on the hood
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Chrome reversed rims with whitewall slicks
And it turns a quarter mile in one oh six
Door handles are off but you know I’ll never miss’em
They open when I want with the “Solenoid” system
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
My Coupe’s tuck and roll underneath the hood
And the rugs, seats, and panels now are looking good
When I go looking for something to do
She’s got enough room now to barely seat two
Go cherry, Cherry coupe now
Go cherry, Cherry coupe now
Go cherry, Cherry coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
Go cherry, cherry Coupe now
There’s a mistake in the spelling of a word in the last line of the third verse.
You’ve got “They open when I want with the “Cellunoid” system.” That should be solonoid system. And what’s with those lines in brackets (My cherry coupe beats ’em up coming off the line) (And she really gets sparks when she starts to whine)? That last one at least isn’t part of the song . It should be just a repetition and fade out of “Go cherry, cherry coupe now.”
Thanks for pointing that out to me Jim, (Cherry Cherry Coupe). An oversight on my part. When I posted all of these lyrics, I would grab what was available, listen over and over, then make corrections, looks like these got by me. I welcome any other corrections to mistakes made, including “Car Crazy Cutie.” Interesting take on the mumbled lyrics.
Chopped nose and deck with louvers on the hood. There seems to be a word or something before “louvers” and I can never make it out. It is not noted in any of the lyrics sites I have researched.
